Annemarie Young biography

Annemarie Young is a British author and editor specialising in non‑fiction for older children and fiction for young readers. She spent twenty years as a publisher at Cambridge University Press. She is based in Cambridge.

She serves as editor of the Refugee Diaries series and co‑authored, with Michael Rosen, two books: What Is Humanism? and Who Are Refugees and Migrants? She also co‑wrote Young Palestinians Speak: Living Under Occupation with Anthony Robinson, published in April 2017.

Her non‑fiction titles address themes of belief, migration and social justice. She has produced educational reference works aimed at engaging young readers in real‑world issues.

Since 1999, Young has held a position as Senior Member at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge, and in 2007–2008 she served as Head of Development there.
