Amara Sage is a British author of contemporary young‑adult fiction. She completed an MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University with distinction. Her debut novel, Influential, was published by Faber Children’s Books in 2022. The book follows 17‑year‑old Almond Brown, a reluctant social‑media influencer grappling with body image and mental‑health issues.
Sage writes in her own voice about racial identity and online culture. She is signed to The Agency and publicly cites social media and personal experience as the inspiration for her storytelling style.
Her second novel, Girl, Ultra‑Processed, is scheduled for publication in January 2025 by Faber, continuing her exploration of diet culture, self‑image, and digital life for young adults.
Amara Sage’s work addresses timely themes in YA fiction with authenticity and clarity.
Girl, Ultra‑Processed will be published by Faber Children’s Books in January 2025.
