Our review:
This is an engaging bedtime book, counting down from ten for 0 – 6 year-olds. The story follows a rhyming, unicorn’s journey home for bedtime. On the way you can count the gnomes, stars, fairies and much more until she arrives at home and curls up for sleep.
The characters are round, marshmallowy and smiley, making the illustrations appealing. The backgrounds contain either bright or soft colouring with fluffy clouds, sparkling stars, toadstools and rainbows, tempting children to explore the illustrations for more details.
There are soft words used such as “safe”, “whisper” and “sweet dreams” that will help young children slow down, relax and drift off to sleep, hopefully dreaming about the fluffy bunnies, tiny fireflies or some of the other lovely characters they have seen throughout the book.
