Wakanyi Hoffman is an author, Indigenous knowledge scholar and educator specialising in Ubuntu philosophy and storytelling. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Education and Global Learning from University College London.
Her doctoral research is underway at Utrecht University’s Inclusive AI Lab, where she investigates sustainable AI systems and how Ubuntu ethics and Indigenous wisdom can be integrated into emerging technologies.
She is founder of the African Folktales Project, a digital and oral storytelling initiative to preserve Indigenous stories from across the African continent and introduce them into education curricula for children.
Her book Sala: Mountain Warrior was published in 2023.
