Terry Denton is an Australian author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He was born in Melbourne, Australia. Denton has collaborated with several authors, most notably with Andy Griffiths on the popular Treehouse series. This series includes titles such as The 13-Storey Treehouse, The 26-Storey Treehouse, and The 39-Storey Treehouse, which have been well-received and have won numerous awards.
In addition to his work with Griffiths, Denton has authored and illustrated his own books. Some of his notable works include The Little Dinosaur and Gasp!. His distinctive illustration style is characterised by its humour and detail, appealing to a wide range of young readers.
Denton’s contributions to children’s literature have been recognised with several awards. He has received the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year Award and the YABBA (Young Australians Best Book Award) for his collaborative and solo projects.
