Tanya Byrne biography

Tanya Byrne is a British author known for her work in young adult fiction. She began her writing career after working in radio for several years. Byrne’s debut novel, Heart-Shaped Bruise, was published by Headline in 2012. The book was shortlisted for the 2013 CWA John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger Award.

Following her debut, Byrne published Follow Me Down in 2013 and For Holly in 2015, both with Headline. Her writing often explores themes relevant to young adults, including identity and relationships. Byrne has also contributed to anthologies, including Change the Game (2023), published by Penguin.

In 2021, her novel Afterlove was published by Hodder Children’s Books. Afterlove was shortlisted for the YA Book Prize in 2022.
