Sylvia Bishop biography

Sylvia Bishop is a British author known for writing children’s fiction. She studied at the University of Oxford. Bishop’s debut novel, Erica’s Elephant, was published by Scholastic in 2016. She has since written several books for young readers, including The Bookshop Girl (Scholastic, 2017), The Secret of the Night Train (Scholastic, 2018), and Pantheon: The True Story of the Egyptian Deities (Scholastic, 2019), which she co-wrote with her sister, illustrator Ashley King.

Bishop’s work often features adventure and mystery elements, and her stories are aimed at primary school-aged children. In addition to her novels, she has written shorter fiction, such as 44 Tiny Secrets (Little Tiger, 2020) and its sequel 44 Tiny Chefs (Little Tiger, 2021). Her books have been published by Scholastic and Little Tiger Press.

In 2022, Bishop published The Midnight Thief with Little Tiger.
