Sarthak Sinha biography

Sarthak Sinha is an Indian artist, educator, author and illustrator of children’s picture books. He teaches kindergarten children and had been teaching for four years at the time of the biographical note for Farah Loves Mangos. His work is connected with nature, colour and the diversity of wild places.

Farah Loves Mangos was written and illustrated by Sarthak Sinha and was released on 4 April 2023 by Flying Eye Books. The 40-page picture book follows Farah, a young South Asian girl who loves mangos and learns to value the mango tree beyond its fruit.

The Boy on Fire was published by Flying Eye Books on 4 June 2024. The 32-page picture book tells the story of Til, a boy who is always on fire, and uses his meeting with a twinkling star to explore friendship, self-acceptance and individuality for children aged 3 to 7.

Sinha has also illustrated work by other writers, including Baba’s Car by Sadia Heil. World rights to Baba’s Car were acquired by Candlewick, with publication planned for spring 2026.
