Sara Glass is a therapist, writer and speaker. She holds a PhD and is an LCSW. Her memoir, Kissing Girls on Shabbat, was published by Atria/One Signal Publishers on 11 June 2024. The book recounts her childhood in Brooklyn’s Borough Park Hasidic community, her attraction to women, her arranged marriages, and her struggle over divorce and custody while trying to live truthfully as a queer woman.
Glass also recorded the audiobook edition of Kissing Girls on Shabbat, released by Simon & Schuster Audio on 11 June 2024. A trade paperback edition followed on 3 June 2025. Kissing Girls on Shabbat was recognised as an ALA Stonewall Honor Book in 2025.
