His subsequent works include Lilliput (Andersen Press, 2013), which reimagines the world of Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels from the perspective of a Lilliputian girl. He has also written Hercufleas (Andersen Press, 2015), a tale about a flea with extraordinary strength, and The Last Zoo (Andersen Press, 2019), which explores themes of imagination and hope in a fantastical setting.
Gayton’s books are published by Andersen Press. His writing is characterised by inventive plots and imaginative settings, often drawing inspiration from classic literature and fairy tales. In addition to his novels, Gayton has contributed to anthologies and participated in school events and literary festivals, engaging with young readers about storytelling and creativity.
