Sabine Adeyinka biography

Sabine Adeyinka is a British-Nigerian author known for her children’s fiction. She wrote the novel Jummy at the River School, published by Chicken House in 2022. The book draws on her experiences attending a Nigerian boarding school and is set in Nigeria. Jummy at the River School was shortlisted for the 2023 Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in the Younger Readers category. The sequel, Jummy at the River School: The New Girl, was published in 2023. Adeyinka’s work is published by Chicken House, and her books are aimed at middle-grade readers. Her debut novel was also longlisted for the 2023 Jhalak Children’s & YA Prize.
