Rose Blake biography

Rose Blake is a British illustrator and author known for her work in children’s books. She studied at Kingston University and later completed an MA in Communication Art and Design at the Royal College of Art. Blake has illustrated a range of picture books, collaborating with various authors and publishers.

Her illustration work includes titles such as Meet the Artist: David Hockney (Tate Publishing), which introduces children to the life and work of the artist David Hockney. She has also illustrated We’re All Works of Art by Mark Sperring (Pavilion Children’s, 2018), a book that explores themes of individuality and creativity. In addition, Blake illustrated Paris: A Book of Shapes (Frances Lincoln Children’s Books, 2018), written by Ashley Evanson, which introduces young readers to shapes through scenes of Paris.

Blake’s work has been recognised in the field of illustration, and she has contributed to projects for institutions such as the Tate and the Victoria and Albert Museum. In 2018, she illustrated Meet the Artist: David Hockney for Tate Publishing.
