Roger Priddy is a children’s author and creator of nonfiction early-learning books for babies, toddlers and young children. His work focuses on first words, vocabulary, numbers, colours, shapes, tactile exploration and interactive book formats. His books include First 100 Words and See, Touch, Feel.
The First 100 series is one of Priddy’s main early-learning series. First 100 Words is a padded board book for children aged 1–3, with 100 colour photographs and 100 simple first words organised by topics such as mealtime, myself and home; the edition with ISBN 9781250107770 went on sale on 15 December 2015 through Priddy Books US.
Priddy’s Bright Baby books use clear photography, bright colours and simple text labels to introduce first words and pictures to babies and toddlers. His Bright Baby Touch and Feel books add textures to stimulate looking, touching and listening, and titles in that series include Diwali, Lunar New Year, Eid, Passover and Perfect Pets.
Priddy’s Alphaprints series is made up of touch-and-feel board books for babies and toddlers. The books combine photographs of everyday objects with embossed fingerprint images, bright colours and rhyming couplets, and the series includes Alphaprints: ABC, Alphaprints: 123 and Alphaprints: First Words.
His books also support preschool skills through activity formats: Wipe Clean: Pen Control, for ages 3–6, helps children practise tracing and pen-control skills and went on sale on 28 February 2012 through Priddy Books US.
