Robert Jackson Bennett writes science fiction, fantasy, mystery and horror. His books include American Elsewhere, The Troupe, The Company Man, Mr. Shivers and The Divine Cities trilogy. The Divine Cities trilogy includes City of Stairs, which was published by Del Rey on 9 September 2014.

The Divine Cities trilogy and the Founders Trilogy were both Hugo Award finalists in the Best Series category. City of Stairs was a Hugo and Locus Award finalist, and the Divine Cities trilogy was a finalist for the 2018 Hugo Award for Best Series.

Bennett created the Ana and Din series, a fantasy-mystery sequence featuring the detective Ana Dolabra and her assistant Dinios Kol. The Tainted Cup was published by Del Rey in hardback, ebook and audiobook on 6 February 2024, and a paperback edition followed on 5 November 2024.

The Tainted Cup won the Hugo Award for Best Novel and the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel, and it was an Edgar Award finalist. A Drop of Corruption, the next Ana and Din novel, was published by Del Rey on 1 April 2025.
