Randy Ribay is a Filipino-American author of young adult fiction. He is known for writing novels that explore themes of identity, family, and belonging. Ribay holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Ribay’s debut novel, An Infinite Number of Parallel Universes, was published in 2015 by Merit Press. He followed this with After the Shot Drops, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2018. His third novel, Patron Saints of Nothing, was published by Kokila, an imprint of Penguin Random House, in 2019. This novel addresses issues related to the war on drugs in the Philippines and the experience of the Filipino diaspora.
Ribay’s work has been recognised in the field of young adult literature. Patron Saints of Nothing was a finalist for the 2019 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature in the United States.
