Rakhshan Rizwan biography

Rakhshan Rizwan is a writer and academic whose work includes poetry and children’s literature. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Utrecht University. Rizwan’s research interests include postcolonial studies, multilingualism, and contemporary literature.

Her debut poetry collection, Europe, Love and Other Poems, was published in 2019 by The Emma Press. The collection explores themes of migration, identity, and belonging. Rizwan’s poetry has appeared in various literary journals and anthologies.

Rizwan is also the author of the children’s picture book My Sneezes Are Perfect, published by Lantana Publishing in 2021. The book addresses themes of difference and acceptance, and features illustrations by Yusuf Samee.
