Pauline Gregory biography

Pauline Gregory is a British children’s illustrator who graduated from Arts University Plymouth with a First Class Honours BA in Illustration. She works primarily with traditional materials, including lino, charcoal and coloured pencils, and is represented by The Bright Agency. Her publishing clients have included Faber & Faber, Bloomsbury, Simon & Schuster, Little Tiger, Oxford University Press and Disney.

Gregory has illustrated books across picture books, early readers and children’s nonfiction. Her credits include Monkey Bedtime by Alex English, published by Faber & Faber, The Lola Bee Bop by John Dougherty for Bloomsbury Young Readers, and the Shark Chums early readers Can Clam Go? and Can Blue Hide? by Adam Lehrhaupt for Simon Spotlight.

She illustrated Valerie Wilding’s Fabulously Feisty Queens and Little Elizabeth: The Young Princess Who Became Queen, published by Wren & Rook. Her other work includes Snowflakes on Our Tongues by Mike Ornstein, Say Cheese! by Sophie Aggett and books in Hachette’s Reading Champion series.

Gregory illustrated Tammi Sauer’s picture book The Amazing Augustus, about a self-important squirrel whose boasting leads him into an encounter with a lion. Published by Disney Hyperion on 12 May 2026, the book was followed by plans for a second Augustus story.
