Paul Linnet is a British author and illustrator, best known for his collaborative work with Sue Hendra. Together, they have created several popular children’s picture books, including the Supertato series, which began with the publication of Supertato in 2014 by Simon & Schuster. The series features a superhero potato and has expanded to include titles such as Supertato: Veggies Assemble, Supertato: Evil Pea Rules, and Supertato: Carnival Catastro-Pea!.
Linnet and Hendra have also co-authored other picture books, including No-Bot, the Robot with No Bottom, Barry the Fish with Fingers, and I Need a Wee!. Their books are published by Simon & Schuster and Macmillan Children’s Books. The Supertato series was adapted into an animated television series for CBeebies, which premiered in 2022.
Paul Linnet’s work with Sue Hendra has received recognition within the children’s publishing industry. No-Bot, the Robot with No Bottom won the 2014 Laugh Out Loud Book Award (Lollies) in the Picture Book category. Their books have been translated into multiple languages and are widely available in the UK and internationally.
The Supertato series remains a notable contribution to contemporary British children’s literature.
