Norman Solomon is a British Orthodox rabbi and scholar of Jewish studies and Jewish-Christian relations. According to Bloomsbury, he served as rabbi to Orthodox congregations in England for 22 years and later worked in interfaith relations, including establishing the Centre for the Study of Judaism and Christian-Jewish Relations at Birmingham.
Wikipedia lists academic posts including Fellowship in Modern Jewish Thought at the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies (1995-2000) and a lectureship in Theology at the University of Oxford (1995-2001).
His books include Judaism: A Very Short Introduction (1996), The Analytic Movement: Hayyim Soloveitchik and His School (1993), The Talmud: A Selection (2009), and Torah from Heaven (2012).
Solomon was a co-editor (with Richard Harries and Timothy Winter) of Abraham’s Children: Jews, Christians and Muslims in Conversation (2005).
His book Making Sense of “God” was published in 2023.
