Nima Patel biography

Nima Patel is a children’s author and former primary school teacher with more than 30 years’ experience in early childhood education. Combining interests in mindfulness and personal development, she founded Mindful Champs to promote emotional literacy for young learners through stories and resources.

Her picture book The Best You, illustrated by Cally Johnson-Isaacs, presents a gentle narrative about self-acceptance and being present. It was published in the UK by Little Tiger in 2024, with a US co-edition from Union Square Kids. Patel’s follow-up with the same illustrator, My Thoughts and Me, offers child-friendly ways to recognise and manage unhelpful thoughts, supporting discussion at home and in classrooms.
