Neal Zetter is a British poet and author known for his work in children’s poetry. He has published several poetry collections aimed at young readers, including Here Come the Superheroes (2014), Yuck and Yum: A Feast of Funny Food Poems (2016, co-written with Joshua Seigal), and Bees in My Bananas (2017). Zetter’s poetry often features humour and wordplay, and he regularly performs his work in schools and at literary festivals.
His book Here Come the Superheroes was published by Troika Books and has been used in schools to support literacy and performance poetry. Zetter has also contributed to anthologies such as Watch Out! Poems About Teachers (2017) and Rhyme Crime (2018). In addition to writing, he leads poetry workshops for children and young people.
Neal Zetter’s poetry has been featured in publications by Macmillan Children’s Books and Troika Books. He has been shortlisted for the Laugh Out Loud Book Awards (Lollies) for his humorous poetry. In 2021, he published When the Bell Goes: A Rapping, Rhyming Trip Through Childhood with Troika Books.
