Nathan Jurevicius is an Australian artist, illustrator, and author known for his work in children’s books and visual storytelling. He is the creator of the Scarygirl universe, which began as an online comic and has expanded into various media, including graphic novels, designer toys, and video games. Jurevicius’s distinctive visual style often features surreal landscapes and imaginative characters, drawing on influences from folklore and pop culture.
Jurevicius has collaborated with publishers to produce illustrated books for young readers. His picture book Junction was published by Koyama Press in 2014. The story follows a young character from a family of face changers as they embark on a journey to collect ingredients for a special ritual. The book is noted for its detailed illustrations and inventive world-building.
In addition to his work as an author and illustrator, Jurevicius has contributed to animation and design projects. His creations have been exhibited internationally, and he has worked with a range of companies on character design and branding.
Jurevicius’s book Junction was published in 2014.

The illustrations in Scarygirl are wonderful and there is far more in each picture than first meets the eye. One advantage of this graphic novel is that one visit isn’t nearly enough.
