Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Nancy Dickmann is a writer of children’s non-fiction. Simon & Schuster describes her as the author of more than 150 non-fiction books for children, with a focus on science and history. Before working full time as an author, she spent many years as an editor and publisher of children’s books.
Her published titles include Around the World in 80 Festivals (Hachette Children’s Group, 13 October 2022) and Your World Through a Telescope (Silver Dolphin Books, 4 June 2024). In the Lonely Planet Kids list, she wrote The Bugs Book, published on 12 October 2025.
