Michael Noble writes children’s non-fiction about history and real people. His book D-Day: Untold Stories of the Normandy Landings Inspired by 20 Real-Life People is a 48-page hardback for young readers, with pictures by Alexander Mostov, and was published on 7 May 2019.
D-Day presents eyewitness accounts connected with the events of 6 June 1944 and focuses on 20 real-life stories from the Normandy landings. The book uses photographs, personal accounts, testimonies and full-page illustrations to introduce the planning, logistics, espionage, technology, military units, invasion and landings to young readers.
The Secret Life of Spies is another children’s non-fiction title by Michael Noble, illustrated by Alexander Mostov, and was published on 4 August 2020. The book introduces 20 real-life spies from different places and periods of history, including Alan Turing and Hedy Lamarr, through first-person narrative accounts and information about espionage.
