Matthew Reinhart biography

Matthew Reinhart is an American author, illustrator, and paper engineer known for his work on pop-up books for children. He studied industrial design at the Pratt Institute in New York. Reinhart has collaborated with several other authors and illustrators, including Robert Sabuda, with whom he co-created a number of pop-up titles.

Reinhart’s solo works include a range of pop-up books that explore subjects such as animals, fairy tales, and popular culture. Notable titles include The Jungle Book: A Pop-Up Adventure, Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy, and DC Super Heroes: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book. His books are recognised for their intricate paper engineering and interactive elements, which engage young readers and encourage exploration.

In addition to his original works, Reinhart has adapted classic stories and themes into pop-up format, bringing new dimensions to well-known tales. He has also produced pop-up books based on licensed properties, including Transformers: The Ultimate Pop-Up Universe and Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros.
