Marnie Willow biography

Marnie Willow is a children’s author whose work includes picture books, activity books and illustrated non-fiction. Her published titles include DIY Science, illustrated by Teemu Juhani, and Space, illustrated by Diego Vaisberg. Space is part of Autumn Publishing’s Lift the Flaps series and introduces subjects including planets, stars, spacecraft and the wider universe.

Willow has also written books introducing younger children to different careers. I’m Going to Be An… Astronaut, illustrated by Junissa Bianda, combines imaginative play with information about the work of astronauts.

Her 2026 book Thrive: Inspiring Conservation Stories from Across the World!, illustrated by Amy Grimes, is published by Templar Books. Created in collaboration with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), it examines threatened habitats and species alongside conservation projects designed to protect and restore them. Examples include work involving Darwin’s frogs, angel sharks and tiger habitats in the Terai Arc.

Willow is also the author of The Enchanted Library: Tales from Fairy Glade Forest, an interactive Workman Kids title featuring a pop-up fairy library, miniature books and pop-up figures. Thrive is scheduled for publication on 10 September 2026, followed by The Enchanted Library on 6 October 2026.
