Lucy Edwards is a British broadcaster, journalist, author, content creator and disability activist.
At age 17, she lost her remaining eyesight due to the rare genetic condition incontinentia pigmenti.
Edwards began posting on YouTube under the name Yesterday’s Wishes and later expanded her platforms to TikTok, where her content includes daily life, accessibility advice and personal reflections on blindness.
She trained as a journalist with the BBC’s Extend programme, and in 2019 became BBC Radio 1’s first blind presenter.
In April 2024 she published her memoir Blind Not Broken. In July 2024 she signed a deal with Scholastic to publish the middle-grade novel Ella Jones vs The Sun Stealer, featuring a blind protagonist.
Edwards is the first blind ambassador for haircare brand Pantene.
