Lu Fraser biography

Lu Fraser is a British author of children’s picture books. She is known for her collaborations with illustrators such as Kate Hindley, Sarah Warburton, and Benji Davies. Fraser’s debut picture book, The Littlest Yak, illustrated by Kate Hindley, was published by Simon & Schuster Children’s Books in 2020. The story follows a small yak named Gertie who learns to appreciate her own unique qualities.

Fraser has written several other picture books, including One Camel Called Doug, illustrated by Sarah Warburton, and The Viking Who Liked Icing, illustrated by Mark McKinley. Her work often explores themes of friendship, self-acceptance, and adventure, presented in a style accessible to young children.

Fraser’s books have been recognised within the children’s publishing industry. The Littlest Yak won the Oscar’s Book Prize in 2021, an award given annually to the best under-fives book published in the UK.
