Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Love Ssega is a musician, producer and performing artist, and he also writes children’s fiction. He is listed as a Southbank Centre Associate Artist for 2024 to 2027.
In music, he is credited as a founding songwriter and frontman of Clean Bandit. He is credited as a writer and lead vocalist on “Mozart’s House”, a Clean Bandit single featuring Love Ssega that entered the UK Singles Chart.
His public-facing work includes climate and clean-air projects. He is the founder of LIVE + BREATHE, an arts-led clean air movement, and is listed as a trustee of the climate charity EarthPercent. He was also the Philharmonia Orchestra’s Artist in Residence for the 2022 to 2023 season.
In children’s publishing, Love Ssega is the author of the adventure series The Elementals, illustrated by Erika Meza and published by Little Tiger Press Group. Book 1, The Elementals: Wanzu Sets Sail, is scheduled for publication on 5 March 2026 (ISBN 9781788958165).
