Lou Kuenzler is a children’s author and creative writing tutor. She studied theatre in Northern Ireland before working as a theatre director, university lecturer and workshop leader in communities, schools and colleges.
Kuenzler has published more than 50 books for children. Her work ranges from picture books and chapter books to historical fiction, action-adventure stories, animal stories, educational books and television writing.
Her books include The Runaway Bannock, Shadow Snatcher, Shrinking Violet, Princess DisGrace, Bella Broomstick, My Family and Other Ghosts and The Return of the Railway Children. She has also written picture books including Eat Your People!, Not Yet, Zebra and Calm Down, Zebra.
Scholastic published The Return of the Railway Children on 1 March 2018, with the ISBN 9781407184890.
