Liam Dutton biography

Liam Dutton is a broadcaster, meteorologist and author. He is Channel 4 News’ weather presenter and previously worked for nine years as a broadcast meteorologist at the BBC Weather Centre.

Dutton studied Geography at Swansea University and graduated in 2002. He later completed the Met Office Initial Forecasting Course and worked as a commercial and aviation forecaster.

In 2011, Channel 4 News appointed Dutton as the programme’s first weather presenter. His work for the channel includes weekday forecasts and weather analysis for news stories.

Dutton wrote the children’s nonfiction book Weather, Camera, Action!: A Meteorologist’s Guide to the Sky, illustrated by Giordano Poloni. The book was published by Templar Books on 29 September 2022.
