Lene Kaaberbøl biography

Lene Kaaberbøl is a Danish author known for her work in children’s and young adult literature. She began writing at a young age and published her first book at the age of 15. Kaaberbøl is particularly recognised for her fantasy series, including the Shamer Chronicles and the Wild Witch series. The Shamer Chronicles consists of four books: The Shamer’s Daughter, The Shamer’s Signet, The Serpent Gift, and The Shamer’s War. These books have been published in English by Pushkin Children’s Books.

Kaaberbøl has also written the Wild Witch series, which includes titles such as Wildfire, Oblivion, Life Stealer, and Bloodling. This series is published in English by Pushkin Children’s Books as well. Her writing often features strong young protagonists and elements of magic and adventure.

In addition to her work for younger readers, Kaaberbøl has co-authored crime novels for adults, but she remains widely known for her contributions to children’s and young adult fantasy literature. Her book The Shamer’s Daughter was first published in English in 2002.
