Konnie Huq is a British author and television presenter. She is known for her work on children’s television, particularly as a presenter on the BBC’s Blue Peter from 1997 to 2008. Huq studied at Cambridge University, where she read Economics.
Huq has written for children, with her debut children’s novel Cookie and the Most Annoying Boy in the World published by Piccadilly Press in 2019. The book follows the adventures of Cookie Haque, a science-loving girl navigating school and family life. The story draws on Huq’s interest in science and her experiences growing up.
Following the success of her first book, Huq continued the series with Cookie and the Most Annoying Girl in the World and Cookie and the Most Mysterious Mystery in the World, both published by Piccadilly Press. The series is aimed at readers aged 7 and above and features illustrations by Huq herself.
In addition to her writing, Huq has contributed to children’s programming and has been involved in various educational initiatives. She has also co-written for television, including an episode of the revived series of Black Mirror.
