Kerry Drewery biography
Kerry Drewery is a British author known for her work in young adult fiction. Her debut novel, A Brighter Fear, was published by HarperCollins Children’s Books in 2012. The book was longlisted for the Branford Boase Award in 2013. Drewery’s second novel, A Dream of Lights, was released in 2013 and was shortlisted for the Hampshire Book Award in 2014.
She is the author of the Cell 7 trilogy, which includes Cell 7 (2016), Day 7 (2017), and Final 7 (2018), all published by Hot Key Books. The trilogy explores themes of justice and media influence in a dystopian setting. Cell 7 was shortlisted for the Lancashire Book of the Year Award in 2017.
Drewery has also contributed to anthologies and has written for the BBC. Her books have been translated into several languages. In 2020, she published Something About Merry with Hot Key Books.
Cell 7 was selected for the 2017 BookTrust School Library Pack.
