Kelly Ngai is a children’s and young adult author known for her collaborative work with Mikki Lish. Together, they have co-authored the fantasy series beginning with The House on Hoarder Hill, which was published by Chicken House in 2020. The story follows Hedy and Spencer as they uncover family secrets in a mysterious house filled with puzzles and magic. The sequel, The Magician’s Map, was released in 2021, continuing the adventures of the main characters as they explore new magical realms and face further challenges.
Ngai’s writing is characterised by imaginative world-building and a focus on family, friendship, and adventure. Her books are aimed at middle-grade readers and have been featured in recommended reading lists for children aged 9-12. The House on Hoarder Hill was included in the Summer Reading Challenge 2020 by The Reading Agency.
Kelly Ngai’s work with Mikki Lish has been published in the UK by Chicken House, and their books are available internationally. The House on Hoarder Hill was published in 2020.
