Katie Hickey biography

Katie Hickey is a British illustrator known for her work in children’s books. She studied at Falmouth University, where she completed a degree in Illustration. Hickey’s illustration style is characterised by its warmth, texture, and use of traditional media, often incorporating pencil, ink, and digital techniques.

Hickey has illustrated a range of picture books and children’s titles for various publishers. Her work includes illustrations for Moon Moon by Jane Yolen, published by Andersen Press in 2023, and The Little War Cat by Hiba Noor Khan, published by Macmillan Children’s Books in 2020. She also illustrated How Was That Built? by Roma Agrawal, published by Bloomsbury Children’s Books in 2021, and Grandad’s Camper by Harry Woodgate, published by Andersen Press in 2021.

In addition to picture books, Hickey’s illustrations appear in poetry anthologies and educational titles.
