Katie Chappell biography

Katie Chappell is a live illustrator who works across the UK and Europe. Her clients include Workplace for Facebook, Google, Nespresso and many UK universities. She has lectured in illustration from foundation to MA level. Salty Dog and Pals is her first children’s book, and she co-authored it with Helen Stephens.

Salty Dog and Pals: The Storm & Other Stories is written by Katie Chappell and Helen Stephens and illustrated by Helen Stephens. The book contains four stories about Salty, Kitty and Bernard, who live together in a little upside-down boathouse. It is a four-colour illustrated book for children aged 5 to 7, with a listed age range of 5 to 9. Walker Books published Salty Dog and Pals: The Storm & Other Stories on 7 May 2026.
