Jordan Lees biography

Jordan Lees is a children’s author and literary agent. He studied literature at university and has worked across publishing, first in royalties and later as an agent, before turning to fiction for younger readers. His middle-grade series, The Whisperwicks, is published in the UK by Puffin and in the US by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers.

Book one, The Whisperwicks: The Labyrinth of Lost and Found, was published by Puffin on 28 March 2024, with the US edition released on 28 May 2024. The novel introduces Benjamiah Creek and the enchanted world of Wreathenwold, blending quest adventure with puzzles and riddles. Editions are available in multiple territories and formats.

The sequel, The Impossible Trials of Benjamiah Creek, continues the series for readers aged 8–12. The US hardback was published by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers on 3 June 2025 (400 pages; ISBN 9781665950152).

Alongside writing, Lees works in agenting, representing authors in adult and children’s markets. He entered the industry through university study of literature, followed by roles in publishing operations and client representation.

Selected milestone: The Whisperwicks: The Labyrinth of Lost and Found was named Waterstones Children’s Book of the Month for January 2025.
