John Bond biography

John Bond is a British author and illustrator known for his work in children’s picture books. He studied at Kingston University, where he graduated with a degree in Illustration and Animation. After university, Bond worked in the creative industry, including a period at an animation studio, before focusing on children’s publishing.

Bond’s debut picture book, Mini Rabbit Not Lost, was published by HarperCollins Children’s Books in 2018. The story follows the adventures of Mini Rabbit as he searches for cake, and is noted for its distinctive illustration style and humour. The book was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in 2019.

Following the success of his first book, Bond created further titles in the Mini Rabbit series, including Mini Rabbit Must Help (2020) and Mini Rabbit Come Home (2021), both published by HarperCollins Children’s Books. His illustrations are characterised by bold colours, expressive characters, and playful visual storytelling.

In addition to the Mini Rabbit series, Bond has illustrated other children’s books and contributed artwork for various projects. He regularly shares his creative process and illustrations on social media platforms, engaging with readers, parents, and educators.
