Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Jennifer Z Paxton is an American academic and writer specialising in medieval history who has also authored nonfiction for children. She is a faculty member in the Department of History at The Catholic University of America, where her teaching and research focus on medieval Britain and Ireland.
Paxton studied at Harvard University, where she completed her doctorate in history. She has published scholarly work on medieval politics and culture and has lectured for The Great Courses series.
Her children’s nonfiction includes The Story of the Middle Ages, published by Callisto Media in 2021, which introduces young readers to medieval history through key figures, events and social developments.
