Jan Fearnley biography

Jan Fearnley is a children’s picture-book author and illustrator. Her books include the Mr Wolf series, Little Robin Red Vest, Arthur and the Meanies and The Baby Dragon-Tamer. She created Mr Wolf’s Pancakes, Harry and the Jaggedy Daggers and Milo Armadillo.

Little Robin Red Vest is a picture book for children aged 2 to 5. The story follows Little Robin during the week before Christmas as he gives away seven warm vests to animals who are cold. A 2018 edition was published by Nosy Crow, and a later Nosy Crow edition had a publication date of 12 October 2023.

Edgar and the Sausage Inspector was Jan Fearnley’s first picture book with Nosy Crow. The book is a 32-page picture book for children aged 2 to 5, about Edgar, Edith and a rat called The Inspector. Edgar and the Sausage Inspector was selected for the White Ravens list in 2018.

Oh Me, Oh My, A Pie! is another 32-page picture book by Jan Fearnley for children aged 2 to 5. The rhyming story follows a pie as it is taken by a fox, found by a mouse, snatched by a cat, grabbed by a dog and plucked away by an owl. Nosy Crow published Oh Me, Oh My, A Pie! in May 2018.
