Inbal Leitner biography

Inbal Leitner is an author and illustrator of children’s books. She studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, where she specialised in illustration. Leitner has worked on a range of projects, including picture books and editorial illustrations.

Her debut picture book as both author and illustrator is Is It a Walnut?, published by Scallywag Press in 2021. The book explores themes of migration and adaptation through the story of a young boy and his mother. Leitner’s illustration style is characterised by the use of pencil and digital techniques, creating textured and expressive artwork.

In addition to her own books, Leitner has illustrated works by other authors. Her illustrations have appeared in various publications and exhibitions. She has also delivered workshops and events for children, focusing on storytelling and illustration.
