Inbal Leitner biography

Inbal Leitner is an author-illustrator and lecturer whose work spans picture books and visual storytelling for children. She studied Classic Animation at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and later completed an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. Her practice draws on traditional techniques including acrylics, pastels, watercolour, printmaking, collage and mixed media. Alongside book work, she teaches illustration; she is a Lecturer Practitioner at Anglia Ruskin University’s Cambridge School of Art.

Leitner wrote and illustrated The Longest, Strongest Thread, a picture book about a child and grandparent staying connected across distance. The title was first published in the UK by Scallywag Press (ISBN 9781912650187), with a U.S. edition issued by Charlesbridge (ISBN 9781623543594). Retail and library records credit her as both author and illustrator.
