Holly Surplice is a British author and illustrator known for her work in children’s picture books. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art, where she specialised in Drawing and Painting before focusing on illustration. Surplice’s creative process often involves drawing inspiration from the natural world, particularly animals, which feature prominently in her books.
Her debut picture book, Hush-A-Bye Bunny, was published by HarperCollins Children’s Books. She has both written and illustrated several titles, including About a Bear and Snow Still, both published by Nosy Crow. In addition to her own books, Surplice has illustrated works for other authors, contributing her distinctive style to a range of children’s literature.
