Harriet Howe is a UK children’s picture-book author. Alongside writing, she works in television. Her stories focus on family life, community and themes that support discussion in early years and lower-primary classrooms.
Howe’s debut, Tiger’s Last Roar, was published by Templar Books on 11 September 2025, illustrated by Katie Cottle. Announced as the first title in a two-book deal, the picture book presents a gentle, age-appropriate way to talk about the loss of a pet and includes end-matter activities to help children record memories. Bibliographic listings note a 40-page paperback (ISBN 9781800789302).
Her second picture book, The Street Where Santa Lives, illustrated by Julia Christians, was published by Little Tiger on 2 October 2025 in hardback (ISBN 9781838918576). The story explores neighbourliness and caring for older people at Christmas. A U.S. edition is published by Tiger Tales.
Howe is represented by Clare Wallace at the Darley Anderson Children’s Book Agency.
