Hannah Cockayne biography

Hannah Cockayne is a children’s author whose published work includes books for babies, younger children and primary-aged readers. Bibliographic records credit her on a number of early-years titles published by Priddy Books, including Kitten and Friends, My Little Book of Animals and the sensory board book See, Touch, Feel. She is also the author of Curious Cat and Other Fluffy Friends, part of the Alphaprints series, illustrated by Ellie Boultwood and Jo Ryan.

In 2026, Cockayne wrote Behind the Scenes: Uncover a World of Animal Care and Conservation at London and Whipsnade Zoos, illustrated by Åsa Gilland. Created in collaboration with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), the nonfiction book explores animal care and conservation work at London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo, including the work of zookeepers, veterinary teams and other specialists.
