Hana Kinoshita Thomson is an author, illustrator, and book designer. She is credited by publisher Allen & Unwin as a Japanese-American-Australian illustrator, designer, and author with a background in psychology and graphic design.
She works as an in-house book designer at Allen & Unwin, designing young adult and children’s books. In 2023, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) profiled her as a Bachelor of Design graduate who was working as an in-house designer and illustrator for Allen & Unwin Young Adult and Children’s.
Her debut picture book, Bun, which she wrote and illustrated, was published by Allen & Unwin on February 3, 2026 (ISBN 9781761182396).
