Guy Campbell biography

Guy Campbell is a British author of children’s non-fiction, with books that use facts, humour, activities and puzzles for young readers. He has been a writer and graphic designer since 1986, and in 1990 he started the creative and graphics company Moran Campbell da Vinci, producing corporate identity, advertising and packaging work. His writing has included more than 40 children’s books, a monthly comic for children, cartoon strips for newspapers and magazines, puzzles, television comedy sketches and a short comic play for BBC Radio 5.

He has also written joke books, puzzle books and guides on football and survival skills.

Actually Factually is a children’s non-fiction book about misunderstandings, mistakes and misconceptions, including topics such as Christopher Columbus and the direction of water down plugholes. The eBook edition was published by Michael O’Mara Books on 30 June 2011, with a stated age range of 8 to 12 years.

Survival: How to Survive Anything, Anywhere explains skills such as surviving a tornado, carrying someone to safety, reading an orienteering compass, making a catapult, building an igloo and responding to snakebite or avalanche situations. The paperback edition was published by Michael O’Mara Books on 1 October 2019 as part of the Buster Know-How series, for readers aged 9 to 11 years.
