Giselle Clarkson biography

Giselle Clarkson is a New Zealand author and illustrator known for her work in children’s literature. She has illustrated a range of picture books and non-fiction titles, often focusing on themes related to nature and the environment. Clarkson is the illustrator of The Gobbledegook Book: A Joy Cowley Anthology, published by Gecko Press in 2019, which brings together a collection of poems and stories by Joy Cowley. She has also illustrated Egg and Spoon: An Illustrated Cookbook, published by Gecko Press in 2020, which presents recipes and food stories for children.

In addition to her work as an illustrator, Clarkson is the author and illustrator of The Observologist: A Handbook for Mounting Very Small Scientific Expeditions, published by Gecko Press in 2023.
