Gianna Pollero is a British children’s author known for her humorous fiction. She is the writer of the Monster Doughnuts series, which is illustrated by Sarah Horne and published by Piccadilly Press. The first book in the series, Monster Doughnuts, was published in 2021. The story follows a young girl named Grace who teams up with a monster called Mr Harris to save the world from villainous creatures, using doughnuts as a key element in their adventures.
Following the debut, Pollero continued the series with sequels including Monster Doughnuts: Cyclops on a Mission and Monster Doughnuts: Spying for Beginners, both published by Piccadilly Press. Her books are aimed at readers aged 7 and above and combine elements of fantasy and comedy.
Before writing for children, Gianna Pollero worked as a copywriter. She has spoken about her enjoyment of writing stories that make children laugh and encourage a love of reading. Her Monster Doughnuts series has been noted for its imaginative plots and engaging characters.
The first book in the Monster Doughnuts series was published by Piccadilly Press in 2021.
