Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Fiona Woodcock is a British author and illustrator of children’s books. She studied illustration at Glasgow School of Art and has worked in animation, advertising and printmaking alongside her publishing career.
Her picture books include Hiding Heidi (2016), Look (2018), Hello (2019) and Sunny (2020). She also illustrated A Dot in the Snow (2016), written by Corrinne Averiss, which was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Woodcock’s work is often noted for its use of hand-cut stencils and print techniques.
Hiding Heidi, her debut as author-illustrator, was published by Simon & Schuster in 2016.
